medical issues from past abuse

I have a terminal kidney condition stemming from being beaten by my x-husband. Can he be held legally liable for my medical expenses?

I'm sorry to learn of your condition. To answer your question, you have to (1) prove that the assault proximately caused your condition and (2) do so before the applicable statute of limitations runs on the case.
