Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Texas

moving dispute

we moved from Kentucky to Texas. We were contacted by Northwest van line of california. Asked $3800 for move, I paid $760 as advanced. Came 4 day late for pickup and without my knowledge subleased contract to United moving system of New jersey. They loaded part of my stuff and came next day with empty truck and asked for $9025 as advance for move. Not delivered on time promised, we kept on calling and after 2 week delivered part of mu stuff, no unpacking done. WE KEPT ON CALLING WITH NO ANSWER FROM THEM. Finally after 3 more week, they delivered part of my stuff. Again driver dumped everything and left. Did not check inventory or reassemble furniture. Has not delivered everything yet. These drivers were from a Texas moving company, called Movers(as united subleased to them for delivery). In fact during last delivery driver called me at midnigth and wanted to start delivery at 1 AM. I refused and asked him to deliver in morning. When I called him in morning he started calling names, according to him I had ruined his night. I had complained to department of tranportation, to BBB of all three states. They are of not much help. I want to know my option in recovering money from them and also getting all of my belongings delivered.thank

Re: moving dispute

Usually in these cases, damages are limited in the contract. I recognize that this is important to you, but regulatory authorities have already made decisions for you.
