Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Texas

I have remarried my ex, we was married the first time 4yrs, divorced for 1yr, then common law til 4-09 we remarried, but I want to change my last name nt wanting to keep his, we are goig to get a divorce again in eight yrs. our will be 18, wow this sound sick, but i dont want something to happen to me and still have his name.

So my question is can I change my name without having to get a divorce.

In most cases, you can change your name. You can file an action in district court. You will have to do a background check, and you'll need to tell a judge why you're doing it (i.e. it's not to duck creditors, you're not a registered sex offender, etc.)
