Can you be sued by someone if you are in chapter 13 bankruptcy.

Yes, but you may have a defense that the suit is barred by the bankruptcy staty.

Generally any plaintiff should have to ask the bankruptcy court to lift the bankruptcy stay before filing suit.The court may or may not grant a motion to lift stay. The bankruptcy stay definitely applies to claims that arose before you filed for bankruptcy.
