Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Texas

victim of forgery by deceased brother

My brother (now deceased) forged my name to a loan agreement. That company now wants repayment on the loan. I was unaware of his forgery at the time. A judgement was passed against me without my knowledge, because the summons was delivered to someone else, who did not notify me of the situation, and I lost by default. I need to know what is my position, and do I have any options in this situation? I do not have any assets.

There is no simple answer to this question. It may be possible, if you were really not served, that the judgment may be set aside. You really need a lawyer to look into this. If you are in the Dallas Fort Worth area, feel free to call me.
