Legal Question in Intellectual Property in Texas

I am interested in selling replica handbags, but am scared of breaking trademark/copyright laws. I have read conflicting opinions and would like to get the facts. I read on a legal forum that it is ok to sell replica handbags even with brand logo as long as you do not present them as authentic or exact copies. I am told that as long as you have a selling permit and only offer the bags as high quality items inspired by designer bags there will be no problem with the law. What exactly is allowed by law when it comes to selling replicas?

You cannot have the exact designer copyrighted trademarked logo, but one reasonable close you can probably try, but they do not sell as well and the illegal fakes. Be careful before you invest much money. Good luck!
