Legal Question in Intellectual Property in Texas

wife sells husband car with poa..is it legal?

I recently purchased a vehicle with clear texas title (duplicate) from a lady, the title has been transfered to me and is clear with no leans or judgements..since I'm now the registered owner, the Husband has showed up at my house demanding the car..The local police has gotten involved and basically told the husband that he's screwed since he's still legally married..what should I do?

You don't have to do anything except make sure the car isn't stolen. This car isn't a $700.00 red Ferrari by any chance?

Change the door and ignition locks so the vehicle isn't 'stolen'. If the woman had her husband's durable power of attorney effective upon signing, she could legally sell the vehicle to you. He's got a problem with his wife.
