Are text messages considered legal documents ?

I asked my roommate can I stay until the end of July through text. She said yes.

I'm not on the lease. Can she call the cops for me to leave if no harm done.?

Whether or not you are on the lease, if you have been living there, she should have to file to have you evicted. That said, most police will help a tenant remove someone who is not on the lease because the apartment complex does not want people living there who are not on the lease.
