what is a writ of possesion
my lanlord gave me a leter stating that they were going to file a writ of possesion. What is a writ of possesion.

A writ of possession is a writ a landlord may obtain after he has been awarded an eviction of a tenant at justice of the peace court. The constable will come and set your things outside and prevent your occupation of the apartment, thereby allowing the constable "possession" of the apartment. Have you been evicted?
