Legal Question in Legal Ethics in Texas

should I file a grievance

I have a lawyer who has no lawyers working in his office, he does not live here. I went to another lawyer signed a contract but never met or spoke with him. I kept the lawyer I had. Neither has helped me but I cant get my settlement because the second lawyer I went to filed a lein on my case. They both want a third. I want to file a grievance against both. Should I?

Re: should I file a grievance

Write to each lawyer, keep a copy, and suggest they divide 1/3 between them. See if you can negotiate. If not, contact the TX Bar Association and ask their advice.
