Legal Question in Personal Injury in Texas

i was in an accident and i recieved a letter from the at fault drivers insurance company that:

our policy of insurance does not provide coverage for this claim. therefore we will make no voluntary payments under this policy.

what exactly does this mean, does the at fault driver have a policy and they are just refusing to pay or does the at fault driver have no policy at all? thank you.

Most likely, there is an insurance policy, but there is an excluded driver. You will need to sue the owner of the vehicle for negligent entrustment and you will likely need to sue the driver as well. (There may be other insurance available.) If not, you it may be possible to seek to have the at fault driver's license suspended until such time as they pay for the damages.

Do not do this on your own. Most injury attorneys (myself included) will meet with you for free to discuss your case. I suggest you interview two or three attorneys and see which one you like best. In many cases, you don't pay unless you recover.
