Legal Question in Personal Injury in Texas

Defamation
I am a manger and our store is closing in little over a month so Corp. does not care anymore. I asked some employees and a fellow manager in a different department if they like to go to a club in the area that the other manager has asked me to go and mention wanting to go on many occasions. She told me that she didn't know if she had plans and would get back to me. The next day I talked to an employee about rumors going around about her and the manager and wanted them stop and that her performance has dropped and needs to get it back up. The employee later complained to the manager in the different department so the next day the manager went to our boss and said that I keeping asking her out on dates and that she has told me to stop. I never asked her out on a date. I have asked her to hang out and she has asked as well and even took me to lunch and she has never told me not to ask her to hang out. This time I asked a group of people and according to the employees she was excited to go and was talking good about it, until the one employee complained then the manager filed a false complaint about me harrassing her. We were to have a sit down today, but she called in sick. I feel she is doing this to get at me and ruin my name.

If you end up suffering economically, you might want to talk to a local attorney regarding pursuing a defamation claim.
