Texas doesn't have "palimony" as such. You need to talk to a lawyer and tell him the specifics of your situation. You may have the elements of an informal marriage.

There are specific requirements and time limits regarding a common-law marriage. You may be entitled to claim that property acquired during your time together was community property if you can meet those requirements.

If not, you still might be able to claim an interest in property in which you had a contractual interest.

Look for a family law attorney in your area. You can go to www.lawyers.com to select a lawyer with an AV rating.
