Legal Question in Personal Injury in Texas

slander

A coworker has falsely accussed me of makin out with my fiance at work. He told my boss, his boss and their boss as well. I was up for a promotion at work and now I 've been told by my boss that they have decided to consider other candidates for the position, due to this information. Would there be any chance I could sue for slander? And would there ever be a chance of suing the company I work for? Thanks

Re: slander

Technically speaking - yes. I don't know how much more money you would make in the new promotion, but the legal fees would likely eat up about 12-18 months at least.
