Legal Question in Personal Injury in Texas

I worked at a chemical plant for 21 years. I retired in 2008. In 2009 I was diagnosed with kidney cancer and had my left kidney removed. The company is going to eliinate my retirement insurance due to cost restraints. Do I have any recourse in this matter. Thanks
