Legal Question in Product Liability in Texas

Airbag deployment

I was recently involved in a collision on a us hiway, I was rearended by a semi tractor trailor, pushed into the vehicle in from of me, cause a from impact collion, and the airbags in my 1999 Mazda B-series Pick up truck never deployed. The impact was severe enough to cause extensive damage to my vehicle as to the one in from of me. My question to you is, What kind of action if any will I be able to take against the Mazda company?

Any information that you might have for me, will be greatly appreciated. Thank you

Re: Airbag deployment

This sounds like a loser to me. Airbags are designed to deploy in response to a front end collision. To prove Mazda liable, you would have to show that they were negligent in not having an airbag that deployed in rearend collisions or that the secondary collision involved sufficient deceleration that it should have triggered the airbag to deploy. I doubt you can show either.
