Legal Question in Product Liability in Texas

I let a neighbor use my television while we were in the middle of a remodel of our home. Now the neighbor has told me that the tv is "broken", but can.t or won't produce the pieces of the broken television. What do I need to do? I have all the paperwork on the television, and am considering calling local police. Please advise me.

This is not a product liability question. It is a criminal matter. Yes, call the police or, alternatively, sue the neighbor in small claims court for the value of the TV. My choice would be to call the police, as that is free and more likely to produce quick resolution..
