Lien

I am trying to sell land that I own,the title company I'm using found a lien from a moblie home dealer on the land.This moblie home was given up in a bankruptcy and all that was owed was paid.How do I get this lien off ,so I can sell the land?

You can ask the mobile home company for a release of lien and record it in the real estate records in county of your property. You could also give the title company the bankruptcy information and it is possible they can clear title with a copy of the discharge. However, that is an underwriting decision only the title company can make.

Cheryl has it right. First ask for a release, then ask the title company to accept a discharge, and if that does not work, then you would have to get a lawyer to ask a court to order the lien removed. The last option can be expensive.
