paying back taxes on fathers land

My boyfriend and I live in a house his dad owns and has quit paying taxes on. We have 2 weeks to pay them but want to know if there is a way to get the home and not have to go through this thret again?

You can have the dad deed the property to the son. This would make the son the owner, and the son can then take care of the taxes, etc.
