Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Texas

Will I get my earnest money back?

It's on a new home purchase that is being built-it's a new construction home that someone else was going to purchase. I did not make any changes to the original construction terms; it's a quick move in home.

The purchase agreement states "The buyer agrees to apply for a said loan and cooperate fully and make every effort to obtain a loan within 5days of the signing of this agreement." What does that mean? I signed the contract 3 days ago but now I've decided I do not want to live in that neighborhood. Do I let them know before the 5 days expire? I did try to get financing, however, the lend is saying that I need to pay him so much money for re scoring and pay some debts off first. I need to know if I need to let the builder know tht I changed my mind before the 5 days past or what should I do?
