Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Texas

Need Assistance/ Advice

My mother has a very large estate. I'm her daughter and I have one brother. My mother is very well for her age and is quite in control of her faculties. My question is I don't believe that her attorney is looking out for her best interest. My brother just retained an attorney to find my mother incompent to manage her affairs, and therefore take over her buisness affairs totally. Please advise as to how I could prevent him from doing this. Thank you.

Do your homework and find the best attorney in your area who is well acquainted in guardianship proceedings and will contests. It is very important that you act quickly to minimize costs and stress to both you and your mother. Best of luck.

Get with your mother and retain another attorney to contest the proceeding. If she is as financially well off and as competent as you describe, that should present no problem.

P.S. After she learns of this, she may have second thoughts about leaving him in her will.
