Executor of One's Estate that is Deceased

My Daughter passed away last week and I was advised that I, her mother need to become executor or administrator of her estate...How do I do this?

Re: Executor of One's Estate that is Deceased

I am sorry very sorry to hear about your daughter. As for your issue, it depends on why you want to administer her estate (there are some instances where this is not necessary.) Assuming that it is, you can make an application to the court to appoint you as administrator and follow the process as set forth in the probate code. It is not too difficult, but you will need legal representation. Please feel free to call me if you wish to discuss this at no charge.
