Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Texas

Can I live in a Decedent's house if I am the Executrix?

I am the executrix and sole heir of my Texas grandmother's property, but I live 3 states away. I cannot afford hotel bills while I wait for the estate to go through Probate. When she passes, can I legally live in her house and buy food with the estate before it is transferred to my name, as it will pass to me anyway?

An efficient probate will only take a few of months and there is no reason to be here except for the prove-up. I'm guessing that grandma hasn't died yet. To request that the court allow payment of expenses before the final accounting will probably cost more in legal fees than its worth. When it is time to probate, hire an attorney who can do a quick and efficient job for you.
