Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Texas

My mother recently passed leaving a lot of debt. She left behind a payed off car and mobile home. She was not married and we live in Texas. Are her children responsible for her debt? Can we change the title of the car and mobile home to our names or are they suppose to be sold to pay off the debt?

Assets should be sold to satisfy the obligations of the estate.
