Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Texas

Revocable living trust

I'm 56, disabled widow and SS Dis only income. Home and contents only assets. Home paid for and registered in the court house. How do I put it into an RLT I'm doing myself to avoid probate when I die?

I agree.

Re: Revocable living trust

Any asset, to be included in a living trust, must be conveyed to the trust in the name of the trust by whatever instrument is appropriate.

In your case a Quit Claim deed from you to your living trust will accomplish that purpose. The home will thereafter belong to the trust.

As an aside, real estate is not "registered in the courthouse" but rather with the County Clerk and Recorder.
