You can adopt the provisions of Special Marriage Act as this act applies to all communities. As you are Dubai now, you can approach Indian Consulate to register your marriage, provided both of you have to show the consent (no objection) of the respective guardian/sponsor. Or you can register the marriage in India under the relevant provisions of Special Marriage Act. Sec 18 of the said Act is about the effect of registration under Special Marriage Act, which reads as where a certificate of marriage has been finally entered in the Marriage Certificate Book, the marriage shall, as from the date of such entry, be deemed to be a marriage solemnized under the Act, and all children born after the date of ceremony of marriage shall in all respect be deemed to be and always to have been the legitimate children of their parents. The main purpose of registration of marriage is the facilitation of proof of marriage and whenever the marriage is required to be proved, the certificate of registration helps in proving the same.
