Legal Question in Appeals and Writs in Utah

How can a divoce decree be changed?

I was surved by puplication, that happen to run in a diffrent state then the one i live in. The X-wife knowing full when where i lived my adress, all the info needed to have me surved, instead she chose to lie to the courts apperantly so i wouldnt know what was happening in the state she now lives in. I didn't know i was divorced until the states human recorcess peaple sent me a $14,000.00 back child support bill demanding payment NOW. i was never ordered an amount to pay (not knowing I was Divorced), The 14,000.00 is a judgement from the decree, i'm guessing. what forms do i need to file to have my day in court. It is easy to prove she knew where my residence was during this time, my children stayed with me for a month, and i have post marked letters dating to pre sumons and after, sent from her. So what form do i need to file in Utah. My X-wife moved from Arizona to Utah aproximatly 2yrs ago.

You need to file a motion to set aside the judgment and request permission to file an answer. You should have the help of an attorney. If you have no money you might get assistance from Utah Legal Services.
