Legal Question in Appeals and Writs in Utah

How I Obtain A Writ of Assistance or Replevin

A judge in Colorado issued a contempt of court citation to be served on my former husband who now lives in the Salt Lake City area. The county sheriff's department has attempted to serve him six times and he either is not at home or is refusing to answer the door. He has now locked the gate to his property and the county attorney has advised the sheriff department that they need a writ of assistance or replevin in order to climb the gate and legally proceed with the service. How do I obtain one of these on my own?

The best solution may be to lodge your judgment in Utah, then proceed in the local courts. if he is avoiding service there are several ways to effect service. The other solution may be to hire a local private process server.
