Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in Utah
i settled a 1983 law suit with the state of utah for 4,000.00 the state then kept the money for restution from 1999 can they do that ? as the settlement was for an injury where i lost my leg

If you owed money to the State, they may be able to claim the money you owed them as an offset.
