Legal Question in Discrimination Law in Utah

I was wondering

My dad was demoted at work a while ago because he couldn't speak spanish. Now he has been demoted again and he took a $2 an hour pay cut cause he has been depressed about loosing his position. I was just wondering if there is anything legally my father can do.
