Legal Question in Family Law in Utah

Child Visitation Right

I have two children aged 4 and 2 via common law marriage of 10 years. She recently died 1 1/2 years ago and I am being threatened with legal action by her sisters for visitation rights where they say they would be able to take them every other weekend and every other holiday. If I had to go to court what legal rights do they have to my children?

Re: Child Visitation Right

They have no legal rights to your children, nor are they legally entitled to any visitation rights. The only 'relatives' that have any rights are parents, and in some cases grandparents.
