Legal Question in Family Law in Utah

Harrassment and Threats by ex-wife

My husband's ex-wife has threatened and harassed my husband to losing one job and is close to losing another. It began he started the process of alimony modifications after she called to tell him shed won $200K. She threatened that he would be sorry; acting on her threat by calling the CEO and other VPs, stated she was a SEC official used the name of the wife of a previous employer; beware that he was incompetent and a thief and embezzler. 2 overnight envelopes followed (she lives in another state); no address just the fake name. Given the hint of impropriety attached to his name, he was forced to resign. Became convinced when a co-worker who had talked to the SEC official received another phone call, the woman identified herself as the ex-wife wondered if she would be receiving the ACH alimony payment--the voices were the same. She has called his new place of employment to speak to the CEO, who brought in my husband --when she heard his voice, hung up. Shes called 3 times and sent 4 packets: 2 to the CEO; 1 to the founder; 1 to the board pres. The fear is that she will start contacting investors instead of employees. We have contacted a lawyer who will file an injunction but is there more we can do? Criminal acts?

Re: Harrassment and Threats by ex-wife

You need more than an injunction, you should sue the ex for defamation and seek the amount of money your husband lost because of the lost job, damages to his present reputation and for punitive damages.
