Legal Question in Family Law in Utah

My ex is requesting visitation rights

My ex & I were never married he is very abusive I have a protection order protecting me and my children who are also his but now he is requesting visitation to them. First I left w/ 2 suitcases and my daughter from Utah to South Dakota 1 1/2 yrs ago to find that I was pregnant by him again. I am now and have been a resident here. He hired an attorney and I mistakenly responded did I give Utah jurisdiction? And with him being abusive and not paying child support and not holding employment since 1997 and being released from jail on drug charges only 3 months ago what are his chances of getting visitation rights. Can I represent myself or do I need legal councel?

This is not the type of case that I would suggest that you handle. Retain an attorney in your area immediately. If you can't afford one then contact your local legal aid or bar for free representation or low cost attorney.
