Legal Question in Family Law in Utah

My wife and I signed a prenuptial agreement just before we were married, her father holds the only copy. She would like to cancel it as soon as she can. How do we cancel a Prenuptial Agreement? We only agreed because it was days before the wedding and he was making a big fuss about it now because of our mutual religious beliefs we do not feel we should have signed it in the first place and only did because of her father's pressure.

Usually, both prenuptial and postnuptial agreements contain a clause or provision that allows the parties to modify or outright terminate the agreement if they do so in writing. Accordingly, if both you and your wife are in agreement that the prenuptial agreement is no longer necessary, the two of you may write up a simple agreement, signed and dated by both of you, indicating that it is your desire that the postnuptial agreement, dated........., is hereby terminated and cancelled.
