When will my divorce be final

I filed for divorce last year and my soon to be ex was served in Feb of 2004 he has an attorney and they had me fill out some papers for them. There has been no other steps taken on my divorce, he is refusing to sign the papers and I have no attorney. Is there any way I can get my divorce? He has left the place that he was living and left no forwarding address or phone number. Please help I need to get closure for me and my children.
