Legal Question in Business Law in Virginia

Hi. So I was suspended by my job almost a month ago for something I did not do. They have not called me back and do not anwser any of my calls. They are holding both my commision chacks and now they have also held my hourly check which they have no right to do so. I have not done anything wrong and now I don't have any money to pay for rent, diapers, or any other nessecities. What are my options?

Any business or franchise attorney will say you need to contact your states employment development or labor department. They will investigate and take action for wage and hour violations, etc. Consult with a good business or franchise attorney in your area for specific advice.

Rather than following the suggestion of California counsel Murphy(who is not licensed to practice law in Virginia) to contact the Virginia Department of Labor & Industry(VDLI), I would suggest that you simply file suit in the general district court for the amounts which they owe you and have yet to pay. (When they receive notice of your suit, that may prove sufficient inducement for them to issue you your check.)
