Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in Virginia

Some one took pictures of my truck while a family member had it.This person is trying to say that my truck was used in a crime and I can prove it was not. Can they legally take pictures of the truck and say it was used in a crime?

Yes, "they" can take pictures of the truck; however, as to whether tying the truck to an alleged crime committed by someone in your family allegedly in possession of this truck during the period in question would constitute a viable basis for a claim of defamation by the owner of the vehicle(you) against the perpetrator of this allegation, I would doubt it.
