What is the statute of limitations time limit for ''latent or hidden defects'' claims in residential construction?

In Virginia there is a 5 year statute of repose for construction defects. This means that a suit must be brought within 5 years of the completion of the work or it is time barred. There is no distinction made between a patent or latent defect in the statute.
