Legal Question in Consumer Law in Virginia

i bought a vehicle from a small dealership in chantilly virginia and the vehicle is a junker. i have all the documents from the dealership (title, etc.) stating that the vehicle is legal for purchase. after buying the vehicle, i took it to a mechanic where the whole mechanic shop showed me everything that was wrong with the vehicle. this vehicle is NOT legal (to be on the road/driven) and will not pass any safety inspection as is, and requires thousands more than what i purchased it for. the dealership repeatedly assured me that there was nothing major wrong with this vehicle, but i can not drive it and i have lost every dime of my money that i spent on this vehicle to simply get a ton of useless steel.

Well, are you a victim of such misrepresentation by the dealership

that it crosses the threshhold into fraud and, perhaps, other violations of the

Virginia Consumer Protection Act? If so, then you may wish to consult

with a lawyer who handles civil litigation matters for further advice as to

what your realistic options may be in your particular case under the facts

as described.
