Legal Question in Consumer Law in Virginia
Ripped off
Surveyor and I viewed a boat I wanted to purchase. We found items that needed repairs. Owner said he would repair items but needed a deposite to hold the boat. (he also admittede he would make repairs in a letter) He now refuses to repair the boat or refund my money. Do I have any legal recourse?

Re: Ripped off
Yes, if this seller continues to do one and/or the other, you should sue him for your damages(deposit + court costs or cost of repair + costs)in small claims court.
