Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Virginia

Me and my dog was attacked by a pit bull on January 17, 2009. The only damage to me was torn clothing, the dogs vet bill was almost four hundred dollars. I went to them for the money and then sent a registered letter (which they signed) asking for payment.

There dog did the same thing to another dog two weeks ago and the man (very intimidating man) went to the people and demanded money for the vet bill and they paid him.

My question is is it too late for me to file charges for my vet bill, and how do I go about it.

Thank you for any help.

No, it is not too late for you to file your case for these vet bill damages in your local small claims court. (Filing fee, probably around $50.)

Sure, file in small claims court.

Also, the police and animal control should probably know about this dog before it maims or kills someone.

Good luck.
