once you recieve a summons for garnishment and the garnishment has a hearing date on it, does your employer start taking our the garnishment before the hearing date or after?

A Virginia Garnishment Summons states the following: "As garnishee (employer), you shall withhold from the judgment debtor any sums of money to which the judgment debtor is entitled or may be entitled from you during the period between the date of service of this summons on you and the date of your appearance in court,,,"

Based upon the foregoing, the employer is clearly obligated to begin

the withholding before the hearing date.
