Legal Question in Criminal Law in Virginia

About 15 years ago, the police were called to my apartment in Henrico County, Virginia. I was located in the kitchen with my daughter\'s father and his friends were in my bedroom watching the television. A henrico officer told he was called to my apartment due to a complaint by a neighbor. He asked to search my apartment. I allowed him access and when the officers searched my bedroom they found cocaine and a weapon which was later matched to a Chesterfield Cty, VA as stolen. These items were not mine. I was charged with possession with intent to distribute, grand larceny, and a combination drug/weapon charge. No one in my apartment admitted to owning any of these items, but because the apartment was listed under my name I was arrested. I had a clean record, but these individuals did not. Approx. one week later Chesterfield Cty charged me with an additional charge. My attorney to advised to me that the prosecutor (Henrico Cty and Chesterfield Cty together) agreed to nolle prosequi the charges and that I was free to go about my business. I left VA in January 1990 to join the Army and didn\'t have a problem until I went to apply for a job. Could I be eligible for an expungement? I haven\'t had any difficulties with law and now linve in Atlanta, GA.

If any charge that was brought was nol prossed, dismissed, or you were acquitted, you may have the charge expunged. Expungements are something I do regularly and I'd be happy to talk to you about your specific case.
