Legal Question in Criminal Law in Virginia

direct indictment

This case is very crazy I was in my vehicle driving to see a friend pulled over got out of my car and was proceeding to walk down the side walk when a police officer pulled behind me and told me to get back into the car. So I got back into the car thet ask for my licence and left my vehicle to run my licence. The officer retuned asking me to step out of the vehicle becauae he said he seen me stuffing something on the side of the chair in my vehicle. They searched the vehicle found cocaine and arrested me. I was release on bond went to court for the preliminary and the officer who arrested me did not have police report on file and he charges were null process. 10 mth later i recieve notice that i was a fugitive for this incident I turned myself in recieve a bond I am just wondering why would they bring the charges back up and why is it a direct indictment. SO HOW CAN THEY HAVE VIDEO OR AUDIO OR INFORMANT IN THIS SITUATION

Re: direct indictment

You are not alone; there are many, many cases involving the sudden appearance of cocaine.

There is no way to accurately answer all these questions. You should hire an attorney to represent you and to answer all these questions for you. Good luck.
