Legal Question in Criminal Law in Virginia

In the early morning hours of july 31 i was messaged by a friend who i had not seen in about four months that he had access to a vehicle and wanted to come pick me up,i agreed and since he was not familiar with my new address i offered to walk and meet him at a gas station on a main road leading to my house, when we met up he was the front passenger in a black pick-up truck and i hopped in the back of the vehicle and greeted the 3 occupants all of which i had been acquainted with at least once before,i directed the driver to my address and we all went in to hang out and catch some sleep at around 10 am that morning we awoke and decided that since their was a vehicle and we were bored we should go for a ride, to make a long story short we ended up cruising around in the vehicle locally for the next 2 days at around 11:30 p.m. on the second day we were on our way to a destination when we were stopped by local law enforcement and i could tell by how the stop was executed that it was taken very seriously but i was confused as to what might be wrong when i was taken from the vehicle and put in the back of the cruiser i was informed that i had unknowingly been a passenger in a stolen vehicle and was arrested and charged with grand larceny along with 3 other persons,i have no prior convictions and would never take part in the theft of a vehicle nor would i step foot into a vehicle having knowledge of it being stolen,i was just looking for good times with friends, based on the information stated here what could be some possible defense options for fighting the charge of grand larceny? i willing to fight as hard as i can to prevent a wrongful conviction.

Your best first option would be to make sure that you're properly

represented in this serious criminal matter by a competent

criminal defense counsel and, perferably, one who practices

in the court in which you've been charged.
