probation violation

friend was on probation in VA for possesion of cocaine and transferred to FL. he never had any issues with his officers. never failed any urinalysis. i went out of the state back to VA for a family emergany and asked if he could go with me. He was in a serious car accident in sc and this resulted in a probation violation being that he left the state without informing his probation officer. he only had 5 more months on probation what is he now facing because of this violation. his probation case was sent back to virginia.

Given his apparently otherwise good record of supervised probation, your friend will likely be reinstated to his probation but with a now somewhat longer term. (And, needless to say, he should be represnted by an attorney at the hearing.)
