Legal Question in Discrimination Law in Virginia

Is this Harrassment/possibly disrimination?

I have some medical problems that make it where I am frequently after 9:00 a.m. getting into work. Where I work has a contract specified coverage of people from the core hours 9:00 a.m. - 3:00 pm. I am continually getting jumped on by a project manager for being late, I have provided them with the information that I have health problems that make it difficult to get in by 9:00, the project manager says I don't have any medical problems, and calls me a liar when I say I have some medical problems. Is this harrassment or discrimination that I would have recourse for?

Re: Is this Harrassment/possibly disrimination?

I see no basis for a viable claim under federal

antidiscrmination laws involving any of the protected categories such as race, national origin, religious affiliation, sexual harassment, age, etc., based upon the facts which you've outlined.

Also, since you give no indication that you're working under a contract or collective bargaining

agreement, I assume that you are not and, therefore, would be unable to look to these instruments for any protection from the type of aggravating supervisory conduct which you've described.

Bottom line: If all of the above is true, your recourse(other than to look for another job)would

appear to be virtually nil.
