Legal Question in Family Law in Virginia

I am 19 years old and have a son tht is 11 months. Long story short through my whole pregnacy my relationship with my babys daddy was on and off. At that time he was drinking and doing drugs. He would help me once in a while but was never around. He was arrested at a night clud with possecion of illegal sudstance and violent behavior, he was 20 years old at the time. When i went into lador he was in jail so he couldn't sign the birth certificate. Today he is not being very helpful with the baby. I want to put him on Taff or child sopport but i don't want his last name to be added to my son's name. What can i do?? This is the first time that i've ever done anything like this so i have no idea on what to do, please help me!!

Make an appointment with your local district office of the Division

paternity established and an enforceable child support obligation in

behalf of your son.
