what is the age that a child can voluntarily stop visiting a non custodial parent?

There is no such age specifically recognized in Virginia law (as far as I am aware).

When a child turns eighteen, he or she can voluntarily choose not to visit the "noncustodial" parent, although when the child turns eighteen, there is no longer a "custodial" parent.
Up to age eighteen, a court can require visitation even against the child's express wishes, although the court is required to consider the child's wishes in making the court's decision.
