Legal Question in Family Law in Virginia

I got fed up with my husband's drinking and verbal attacks, I told him I needed time and space. He bought and used a one way plane ticket to Honolulu where he now has an apartment, scooter and is looking for a job. He left Dec. 7. Is everything in the house mine, or can he tell someone to come the stuff? Also, he bought a truck before we were married, but never titled the truck in his name. I drove it and such, but it is still titled in the used car dealerships name. It is at my house, in my drive-way, what can I do at this point? If I talk to him, he will give the truck to his brother. Please help!!!

Ask yourself - do I want to get out of the marriage as quickly as possible or do I want to fight over all assets? One piece of advice - the more you fight....the more costly attorney fees. I certainly do not mind collecting money...but don't you think working out a legal agreement and getting a quick divorce would be better than fighting over all items? If you argue over everything....the divorce will take much longer and be very costly. Your choice!. If you have lots of equity and valuable assets....you may want to fight!. www.sherylshanelaw.com.
